Classic Eyes has a special interest in children’s vision and its effect on learning ability. Learning is achieved through complex and inter-related processes, one of which is vision. In order to create a complete “picture” of the child’s learning ability through vision, all aspects of vision and visual perception skills need to be evaluated.
Vision Therapy Program
During the vision examination, any areas of vision or associated visual coordination that require assistance are identified. These areas are corrected appropriately through spectacle lenses, eye exercises and vision therapy.
Colour overlays and Colorimeter (Irlen Syndrome)
Learning disabilities may be brought about by an inability for the individual to decipher words from their background. Very specific tinted lenses (Intuitive / Irlen lenses) are, in a remarkable amount of cases, able to enhance the contrast making reading easy for the individual.
